ST. ANNE CHAPLET (Feast Day July 26th)
On the first bead pray one Our Father. On each of the following five beads, pray one Hail Mary. Conclude with one Glory Be. Repeat for all three sets: the first set honors Our Lord, the second Our Lady, and the third St. Anne.
On each of the Hail Mary beads recite: "Jesus, Mary, St. Anne. Please grant me the favor I ask." (mention your request) On the medal conclude with: “O God, be with us in our time of trial. Protect us Lord from every evil. Good St. Anne, thou were especially favored by God to be the mother of the most holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Savior. By thy power with thy most pure Daughter and with her Divine Son, kindly obtain for us the grace and favor we now seek. Please secure for us also forgiveness for our past sins, the strength to perform faithfully our daily duties, and the help we need to persevere in the love of Jesus and Mary. Amen."
This chaplet dates from 1875 and many favors have been granted through its recitation. St Anne is the patron saint of mothers and grandmothers.
